Note: this is not in a particular order.
An expert will complete and submit the CCW Permit application, obtain and submit the required documents, and prepare you for the next steps to ensure approval success.
Adding UT/AZ to a CA permit allows you to carry in all states on this side of the Mississippi other than OR and CO (new applicants are encouraged to get this as it will save them time and money!).
CA: renew every 2 years
OC: renewal applications can be submitted 90-120 days prior to expiration
UT/AZ: every 5 years (no additional training required)
IMPORTANT: IF YOU LET YOUR PERMIT EXPIRE, YOU WILL HAVE TO START THE PROCESS OVER! RENEW WITH A TRB EXPERT NOW!
TRB offers military discounts of 10% (ID required; no visible SSN needed). Clients will also receive exclusive discount codes for select partners during training.
Clients may book private training with one of our instructors for their minor. A PARENT MUST BE PRESENT FOR ALL TRAINING.
TRB offers the Add-a-Gun service for $50 (no firearm limit/flat rate).

TRB does not currently offer virtual training other than our White Glove Service.
TRB does not provide or sell ammunition, so BYOA (Bring Your Own Ammunition!). Select ranges may sell ammunition that can be purchased the day of training. Please confirm prior to avoid any issues.
TRB does not currently rent out any firearms. Clients will need to bring their own or rent from another source.
TRB is a COMPREHENSIVE training business. We want to ensure the knowledge and safety of our students and everyone they come in contact with in the real world.
YES. Clients may complete their required CCW training with one of our instructors. We break up the sessions and work with your schedule.
Note: this service is $1600 (the group equivalent is $350)
Yes. Private training is $125 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. We do not cover ammunition costs.
Modifications are allowed if firearm remains in legal configuration for CA.
New applicants: day 1 from 8a-5p and day 2 from 7a-4p
Renewals: day 1 from 1p-3p and day 2 from 7a-4p
Renewal + UT/AZ add-on: day 1 from 1p-4p and day 2 from 7a-4p
UT/AZ add-on only: day 1 from 1p-3p and day 2 from 7a-4p

No. Recent CCW Permit Course grads and advanced shooters are welcome!
You must apply with your county no later than 6 months after your training to avoid expiration.
We can easily reschedule any group or private training as long as we know at least a week in advance. See our cancellation/no-show policy for additional details.

Went shooting after a long time and this time took a class with Stephen. Such a great experience! Stephen is very engaging and very thorough with his explanations. Stephen is all about GUN SAFETY and I am all for it. Though the class is teaching very serious concepts and requires focus and safety at all time, Stephen knows how to lighten the mood up and bring anxious minds to ease. Stephen is a great instructor and I highly recommend him to any, experienced or beginner shooters.

I definitely can say I learned A LOT in just two days
Highly recommend going to TRB for your firearm training needs! The staff was professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I really also appreciated that they took the time out to educate everyone about firearm safety & rules/laws/etc. and not just strictly going over how to shoot, but why (or why you shouldn't in certain instances). All of the coursework and videos are dissected and it wasn't in the style of a "boring lecture" but so much more interactive and conversational. Ernie and his team also made it a point to really get to know you and know you by your name. Aside from the educational piece, the live fire training was also great. Ernie and his team broke down each training session step by step and never rushed you into it. They focused on making sure you have your basics down and they threw in real life scenarios that really make you think about what you're doing and why. I definitely can say I learned A LOT in just two days of training and am definitely coming back for their other courses! Thanks again Ernie & the TRB team - Brendon, Riley, Sunshine, and Stephen - you guys went above and beyond!

Million dollar course at a fraction of a price! Ernie and crew are the top of their class. My wife and I have taken several courses with several companies with several instructors at several different ranges. No one tops TRB @ FT3. Ernie makes material fun, easy to pay attention to and realistic. There are definitely cheaper courses throughout LA and Orange County. But you won't be disappointed in the amount of value you get out of the coursework and live fire. The thing that sets TRB apart from other training courses we've taken is Ernie teaches you to be a "thinker" not a shooter. There's enough shooters out there. But to really analyze the situation and how to react. It's something I've never experienced from other trainers. We're coming back to TRB for more training in the near future. If you're looking for your first firearm safety class, CCW coursework requirements, or rifle TRB has you covered. It won't be a mistake.

The CCW class I attend was interesting and entertaining.
Very comprehensive and detailed training. Ernie is a professional and his team are all top of their game. They are all very skilled at what they do. The CCW class I attend was interesting and entertaining. I learned a lot more than I thought I would about laws and regulations. Erine covers a lot but it's in a great learning environment, and he makes it fun. The second day was mostly shooting and I got to use some of the skills taught to me the previous day. If you are on the fence, don't be. You will at the very least, come away with a better understanding of your weapon and how to employ it safely and efficiently. Again I had a great time throughout the 2 days and will definitely be back for the more advanced training that they offer. Last but not least, Sunshine is awesome to speak to, and she's really helpful getting all setup in the cousres. Thanks Sunshine!

This is my first time taking an extended course and Ernie and Brenden made it a wonderful experience. They take the time to assist each person as much as they can while keeping the class constantly going. In the course of two days I learned a large amount and improved my shooting capabilities. This is the place to go! Ernie, Brendon Steve and all the T.R.B. employees are great.
I can’t say enough kind words to describe this experience. If you are serious about your weapons and your second amendment rights, T.R.B. and its courses are where you want to be. I was nervous about taking a Concealed Weapon training course just because I had no idea what to expect. I imagined all of the horrible scenarios, Military personnel or police officers screaming and yelling in your face etc. You get the idea. I was so wrong, to say the least. This class was so much fun that I wish it lasted a week! One thing you will quickly realize in this class that it is all about safety first. You will also quickly see why I am saying I wish I could have spent a week with these guys. If you are going for your CCW there is so much to consider and understand that it's hard to get all the information and digest it in such a short amount of time. The good news is you will be able to ask questions and even voice your opinions. This turns into a full class discussion which I found to be extremely helpful. Its always a good thing to hear how other people think, it could save your life! Then there is the day on the range! Your adrenaline will be pumping, you’ll be nervous and excited all at the same time. The good news is that you have nothing to worry about. Safety is top priority and the T.R.B. staff is paying close attention to you. That alone will put you at ease. The drills and discussions you will be having on the range are so much fun. You’re not going to want to leave. I heard there were other companies offering classes like this for a shorter time in the classroom. If you’re serious about this you will not sell yourself short by taking a lessor course. Do yourself a favor and take all of this seriously. T.R.B. will give you the training you need to keep yourself out of jail and even more importantly, how to not get killed by another person with a CCW. I have been training with weapons for decades. Im from a military family and trained with a S.W.A.T. instructor for a short period of time and I PROMISE you that you will learn from T.R.B., Ernie and his employees truly love what they do, so listen closely when they speak!

All in all I was very impressed!
I completed the in-person CCW course at FT3 recently, and I can't say enough about Ernie and his team (Sunshine, Brendan, Stephen)! First, their expertise is top notch! And, they are all very professional and knowledgeable. Ernie is really a gifted trainer, too. He is clear, concise, and keeps you engaged at all times. It is serious stuff but he keeps it fun! He and the team go above and beyond what is required and you get a big bang (pardon the pun) for your buck! With the comprehensive course work, videos, holster draw, dry fire, range shooting, the laws, organized notebooks, links, and tons of supporting information, they cover everything you need and more, and make it easy to follow. All in all I was very impressed! I have signed up for the white glove and I feel confident moving forward. I've also taken private lessons from Ernie which I highly recommend. The one-on-one is quite valuable and worth every penny. I'm looking forward to training hard in the Advanced CCW courses, Women's Defense and a lot more! Thank you TRB! I'm all in!

Brandon was amazing. . .
My husband and I have taken 2 training classes with Brandon. He's a great instructor and really helped us get comfortable with firearms. Our most recent class with on pistols and this is where Brandon really shined! He got us comfortable with using a holster and drawing - all the time emphasizing safety. At first we were a bit apprehensive, but Brandon was amazing at not only getting us comfortable with carrying but getting us to think about how we would react in real world situations. I never considered myself the type who would go CCW, but after this class I'm seriously considering it.

To be very honest, this group of trainers and professionals are the best out there. I'm a 30 year veteran with LASD and have trained all my life to be proficient with the weapons that I own. Not only are these guys good at what they do, they have fun doing it. I had a great time and learned so much from people who enjoy what they do and enjoy teaching others. They are also masters at Armory. If it fires a projectile, legally, they know how to fix it and fix you at the same time. I took my AR-15 to them to ensure it was in the proper configuration and the gun works better than it ever has. They also offer rifle and combat training. Thank you so much and look forward to getting more training and becoming a better shooter and all around gun enthusiast. Thank you Ernie, Ryan, Brendon and Riley. You guys are AWESOME!!!!
