This Privacy Policy explains how Tap Rack Bang LLC, doing business as Tap Rack Bang / TRB Training ("TRB," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit trbtraining.com, create an account, register for a course, upload documents to our customer portal, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
Account and membership data. When you create an account or become a member, we collect your name, email address, password credentials, and membership status. Authentication and membership are handled through our third-party providers (see Section 4).
Course registration and waiver information. Name, phone number, email, mailing address, date of birth, emergency contact details, prior training or experience, and any information you submit on registration, intake, or liability-waiver forms.
Permit and eligibility documents. If you use our customer portal, you may upload concealed-carry (CCW/CCP) permits, identification, certificates, or similar documents, including images of those documents and their expiration dates, so that we can verify eligibility and track expirations. See Section 3 for how we handle these sensitive documents.
Payment information. When you pay for a course, membership, or product, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store full card numbers on our own servers; we may retain limited transaction records (amount, date, last four digits, confirmation numbers).
Communications. Records of your emails, phone calls, text messages, form submissions, and newsletter sign-ups, including their contents.
Information collected automatically
Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps.
Cookies and similar technologies. Used for site functionality, session management, analytics, and (where applicable) marketing. See Section 7.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from our service providers — for example, payment confirmation from our payment processor, delivery status from a shipping carrier, or engagement data from our email/analytics providers.
We do not knowingly collect more sensitive information than we need. We do not ask for, and you should not submit, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or medical information except where specifically required (for example, a limited health disclosure on a liability waiver).
2. How We Use Information
Provide, schedule, and administer training courses, memberships, and events;
Verify eligibility to participate (including age and permit/document verification) and track document expirations;
Process payments, registrations, and waivers;
Communicate with you about bookings, changes, safety information, and support requests;
Send newsletters and marketing messages where you have opted in (you can opt out at any time);
Operate, secure, and improve the Services;
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Handling of Permit and Identity Documents
Documents you upload to our customer portal (such as CCW/CCP permits and identification) are stored with our hosting and storage provider, Supabase. These files are stored encrypted at rest, access is restricted to authorized TRB personnel who need it to verify eligibility or provide the Services, and expiration dates are used solely to notify you and manage compliance.
We do not sell these documents or use them for advertising.
We retain them only as long as needed for the purpose you provided them, to meet our recordkeeping obligations, or as required by law, after which they are deleted or de-identified. See Section 8.
You may request deletion of documents you have uploaded, subject to any legal retention requirements (see Section 9).
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
Service providers. Companies that operate the Services on our behalf, including our website host (Webflow), authentication/membership provider (Memberstack), database and document storage provider (Supabase), payment processor (Stripe), and email/newsletter provider (Google (Gmail)). These providers may access information only to perform services for us and are contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.
Legal and safety. When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or lawful request from law enforcement or a regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TRB, our participants, or the public.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
With your consent. When you direct us to share information.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation, to remember your session, to measure site performance, and — where applicable — for marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality. Where required by law, we present a cookie notice or consent tool.
6. Marketing Communications
If you opt in to our newsletter or promotional messages, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. We will still send you non-promotional messages related to your account, bookings, or safety.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Liability waivers and related records may be retained for the period required by our insurer or applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit and at rest for uploaded documents, access controls, and reputable service providers — designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise a right, contact us at info@trbtraining.com. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the timeframe required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Some records — for example, signed liability waivers or transaction records — may be subject to legal or insurance retention requirements and may not be deletable until those periods expire.
10. Age Requirements and Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and participation in training is limited to individuals who meet our minimum-age and eligibility requirements described in our Terms of Service. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites or embed third-party content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; review their policies separately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
