Earned Experience
Our instructors bring over 30 combined years of training U.S. Marines, law enforcement, and civilians. This isn't a hobby — we live and breathe this 24/7. You learn from professionals who do this full time, not weekend enthusiasts.
Our Goal Is to Stand Out by Raising the Standard
Tap Rack Bang was founded on a simple belief: firearms training should prepare you for the realities of self-defense, not just help you pass a qualification or make you feel content. Too often, training is either overly simplistic or focused on unrealistic theatrics that fail to develop practical, life-saving skills. Our mission is to bridge that gap.Founded by Marine Captain and U.S. Naval Academy graduate Ernie Medina, Tap Rack Bang is built on more than 30 years of combined experience training both United States Marines and responsible armed citizens. That experience forms the foundation of every drill, every lesson, and every course we teach. Firearms instruction is our profession and our passion. We are committed to developing responsible, confident, and capable shooters through practical, real-world training that emphasizes safety, sound decision-making, and proven techniques.Whether you're purchasing your first firearm, obtaining your CCW permit, or looking to advance your skills, our goal is the same: to provide training that prepares you for the situations you hope you never face but need to be ready for if you do. No gimmicks. No ego. Just professional instruction designed to help you protect yourself and the people you love.

We provide a premier 10-acre range in Arizona that was built for shooters, instructors, law enforcement, competitive events, and industry partners who need room to train, create, and showcase products without limitations commonly found at traditional ranges. This outdoor range supports dynamic training, advanced firearms instruction, night vision and low-light work, content creation, and real-world shooting applications in a professional environment. Our goal is to create a place where quality companies and serious shooters can come together to train, collaborate, and help push the industry forward.
